I’ve been using Google products for a while now, Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Apps, they run my world, but Google Desktop, I just never liked. So I was working on someone’s computer remotely today and they happened to have Google Desktop installed so I started to play around with it and I must say, the new gadgets have made it worth using.

Lately I’ve been leaving my Google Talk open across the right side of my screen because I use it so often to talk to co-workers, so now that they’ve made that Google Talk gadget part of the Google Desktop sidebar, I’m using the same real estate but seeing more information (like Google Calendar) and I must say I’m enjoying seeing my pictures.

So anyway Google Desktop is going back on my okay list and we’ll see how it goes after a work week.
