It’s not a well documented feature, but you can now use Gmail version 2 if you use Google Apps. You just need to go under Domains, under the General heading, check off: Turn on new application features to my domain before they are rolled out to all Google Apps customers. That will allow you and your users to use Gmail version 2 and all of the other cool new features when they’re rolled out by Google.
